The novel, Like Something New, tells the story of a young photographer who feels trapped by his directionless life in a small town in Southern Ontario. Determined to escape, he devises a plan to recreate Hieronymus Bosch’s “Garden of Earthly Delights” as a wall-size photograph, a kind of talismanic ticket out that needs to include images of his entire existence, particularly those of his friends, who he must convince to pose in the nude in order to reproduce the painting as faithfully as possible. After he unveils this great work of art in the local bar, he believes the event will bring closure and release him from the grip of his small town’s existence.

Like Something New is in the early stages of being written.
